Certified Dementia Practitioner Training
This is the required seminar for those pursuing certification as Certified Dementia Practitioners through the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners or for those who want to enhance their dementia education. Led by Phronsie Owens, the seminar will address enhancing the quality of life of dementia patients, describe behavioral/care interventions that may be used to prevent, reduce or eliminate difficult care situations, discuss end-of-life care and much more.
About the Speaker: Phronsie Owens, BS, RN, CADDCT, CDP, is a Certified Dementia Practitioner, and Certified Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Care Trainer through the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners, and is currently the Outreach Coordinator and RN Supervisor at Piedmont Health Care Center. She has over 20 years of experience in the healthcare field and is the author of Now What?, a workbook for managing the records of the person with dementia.
